Generational trauma - How did our upbringing / families shape us?

LGBTQIA+ Space
with Gabe Kenny

About this Session

This Space is intended for those in the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. This week's aim is to encourage deep reflection on the impact of family dynamics and upbringing on identity and well-being.

How has your family’s attitudes, beliefs, or behaviors influenced your understanding of yourself and your identity? In what ways have these influences shaped your sense of self-worth or your relationship with your LGBTQ+ identity?

About this Space

Hello everyone!

Welcome to our Space where we come together to explore different topics as well as some deep-seated issues that many of us carry but don't discuss openly. Even in a society that is becoming increasingly accepting, the LGBTQIA+ community often face similar internal struggles unique to our experiences. These can include feelings of shame and internalized homophobia, which can profoundly affect our well-being and sense of self.

Each week, we will delve into different topics to understand and address these issues. Our goal is to empower each other through listening and sharing our stories. By understanding the root causes of our struggles, we aim to overcome the challenges we face in life.

I hope you will join me on this important journey of self-discovery, exploration, and storytelling. Together, we can create a supportive space where we can heal, grow, and find strength in our shared experiences.
